The Featherbed offers group accommodation in central Oudtshoorn for up to 36 guests. With 7 two-bedroom self-catering units and 4 business units on one secure property, your whole group stays together while every unit keeps its own space.
We regularly host school tours, sports teams, tour operators and extended families. Tell us your group size and dates and we will suggest how best to allocate the units.
Groups share the lapa and braai area, the swimming pool and the gardens, while every unit has air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and a TV. The self-catering units have fully equipped kitchens, and breakfast for the whole group can be arranged in the lapa on request.
Teachers and tour leaders can keep learners together on one enclosed, access-controlled property. Each two-bedroom unit sleeps up to four, with beds set up as singles or king-size to suit your group.
The Cango Caves are about 30 km away and the Cango Wildlife Ranch about 5 km, which makes The Featherbed a practical base for school excursions to Oudtshoorn and the Klein Karoo.
In Oudtshoorn for a tournament or a sports tour? Teams can cook in the self-catering kitchens, braai together in the lapa and cool off in the pool after a match.
Secure undercover parking is available on the property, and coaches and managers can book a business unit of their own.
Our seven self-catering units sleep up to four guests each and our four business units sleep two each, for a total of 36 guests. Beds in the self-catering units can be made up as singles or as king-size beds. Bed linen and bath towels are provided.
The self-catering units have full kitchens with a stove, oven, microwave and fridge. Breakfast for the group can be arranged on request and served in the lapa, and the braai facilities are there for evening meals.
